Rest assured that your dog will be in safe hands.

My priority is always that your dog is loved and cared for to the highest possible standard and that they are given a walk that they will enjoy, and that will also keep them safe!

Safety First

Dog safety is of utmost importance to me, and this is why I always walk in areas that I am familiar with, making sure there are no gaps in hedges that could lead to main roads or hidden drops to water!

The dogs love the walking spots that I have chosen.  Dogs thrive on routine and structure, therefore familiar areas make them feel safe and happy.

Avoiding very dirty swampy areas is important because of the risk of Alabama Rot (a rare disease) but none the less I take precautions so dogs are not at risk!

I make sure the dogs are as clean as possible when dropped home.  In the winter months it is impossible to keep the dogs 100 percent clean, however towel drying your dog off and washing them down (if necessary) is all part of the service.

Play, Fun & Exercise

I will ensure that your dog gets exactly what they want and need from their walk.

If you have the type of dog that loves nothing more than to run and play with other dogs, the St Johns Walkies gang there will always have furry companion who is up for that.

Alternatively, if your dog is quieter and prefers a more gentle stroll, then I make sure this is the walk they will have.  For independent dogs who love to lead the way  and feel in charge (or so they like to think) then thats fine too!

Then there are the snugglers (I like to call them) who love nothing more than to chill for a few minutes under the shade of trees and come for cuddles and fuss!!

I make sure the walks are fun-filled and interesting with plenty of sights and smells lots of sniffing giving them the enrichment they so deserve.

Weather

Rain does not stop play; I walk in all weather providing that the dogs will remain safe in my care.

During periods of extreme heat and cold I will be in touch with you directly to devise a plan.

The plan may result in a shorter walk, an earlier walk or even a home visit.  As always, your dog's safety comes first.

Love, Loyalty & Connection

Building trust and a connection with your dog is vital, this takes time and patience. I encourage my customers to book their dogs in on a regular basis so that we can maintain our bond, helping your dog to relax and listen to me when asked.

By using the both the Dog Walking and Home Boarding options through the year, your dog will feel that I am an extension of the family, and not feel concerned when staying with me while you take a holiday.  They may well consider it a holiday of their very own!

My Home Boarding service has very limited availability, so please do not leave it until the last minute to book as I would hate to be full and your dog to be disappointed.
